The platform's clean sheet design approach allows for optimal battery pack placement and a lower center of gravity, which results in better payload to range ratios. The EV Star REEFERX was developed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries as well as catering applications. The refrigerated truck's class 4 design's one interior wall structure and higher insulation levels compared to traditional trucks allow for seamless sanitation, improved temperature control and a more extended life. We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on the local highway for a few hours, and found it easy to drive, and comfortable to drive for long distances.
